USTA PACIFIC ZONALS
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Format (New) -
The 2009 Zone Team format for the Pacific Zone will include
six boys and six girls for each team. Team allotments are
as follows: Hawaii (1), Northern Cal (2), Pacific NW (2),
Southern Cal (5), and Southwest (2). Match play for boys
and girls will consist of six singles and three doubles.
Doubles will precede singles and will be an 8-game pro set.

2. Assignment of Teams-Teams
will be arranged using a stair-step method based on current
sectional player ranking. The tournament committee will
make the teams based on this current sectional ranking
information provided by the USTA sections. Team assignments
will be available at check-in.
3. Rules-
All singles will be regular scoring. Singles matches will
be the best of three tiebreak sets. Doubles will be an
8 game pro set with a set (7-point) tiebreak played at
8-8.
4. How to enter-
This is a USTA Level II tournament, which requires sectional
endorsement. Players wishing to enter should contact their
USTA section prior to May 15, 2010.
